Labor Day Lemonade

Labor Day Lemonade

Ingredients:

2 cups Sugar
1/4 cup Honey
6 cups Water
8 – 10 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary, stems removed and finely chopped
1½ cups Fresh Squeezed Lemons
Dry Gin
Tequila

Directions:

Make a simple syrup – In a 2 quart sauce pan add 4 cups water, sugar, honey and chopped rosemary. Cover with Redy-cook Valve closed and bring to a simmer.  Steep for 10 minutes, remove from heat and cool. When simple syrup is cooled strain out rosemary and add the fresh lemon juice, stir to combine all ingredients.

In a gallon pitcher add ice, the remaining 2 cups of water and the simple syrup mixture. Stir. (If you like a sweeter lemonade, adjust by adding more sugar or honey).

In individual classes add equal parts Dry Gin and Tequila, about 1 ounce per liquor.
