Summer Xtractor Smoothies

Summer Passion

Culinary Tools:

  • Chef’s Knife
  • Xtractor

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups honeydew melon, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cups cantaloupe, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cups watermelon, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • ½ cup low-fat plain yogurt

Preparation:

With the Chef’s Knife, cut all fruits according to the instructions. Pass each fruit through the Xtractor. When finished, discard the fruit residue that fell into the pulp Container. In the Container where the juice was poured, add the yogurt and mix well. Serve cold.

Tropical Smoothie

Culinary Tools:

  • Chef’s Knife
  • Xtractor 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ripe mango, pitted and diced
  • 2 cups bananas, chopped
  • 2 cups strawberries, chopped

Preparation:

With the Chef’s Knife, cut each fruit according to the instructions. Pass them through the Xtractor. Once you are done processing, mix the contents from both Containers —pulp and juice—. Serve smoothie cold.

Chef’s Note: If you prefer to make the smoothie less thick, you can add water while processing the fruits until you obtain the desired consistency.

Energy Blast

Culinary Tools:

  • Paring Knife
  • Chef’s Knife
  • Xtractor

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces lime, peeled and quartered
  • 1 cup green apple, quartered
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup green grapes, whole

Preparation:

Using the Paring Knife, peel and quarter lime. With the Chef’s Knife, cut green apple and celery according to the instructions. Pass each ingredient through the Xtractor. When finished, discard the residues that fell into the Pulp Container. Pour the juice into glasses and serve.
